Circular motion — centripetal acceleration, force, and period
Drag ball to resize orbit · Click Release to launch tangent
An object moving in a circle at constant speed experiences centripetal acceleration directed toward the center: a = v²/r. The required centripetal force is F = mv²/r. The period T = 2πr/v is the time for one full revolution. Angular velocity ω = v/r = 2π/T.
