Double Circulation

Blood follows two loops: Pulmonary (right heart โ†’ lungs โ†’ left heart) picks up Oโ‚‚. Systemic (left heart โ†’ body โ†’ right heart) delivers Oโ‚‚. The heart has 4 chambers: right atrium (RA), right ventricle (RV), left atrium (LA), left ventricle (LV). Red cells shown in arteries are oxygenated (red); in veins they are deoxygenated (blue).
