White blood cells, antibodies, and pathogen defense
Click to spawn a pathogen ยท Hover cells for details
White blood cells (WBCs) patrol the body. When they detect a pathogen, they pursue and engulf it (phagocytosis). B-cells produce antibodies that bind to specific antigens (Y-shaped markers shown). Vaccination pre-arms the immune system with memory cells so response is faster. Watch how more WBCs and vaccination reduce infection time!
