Carnot Cycle

The Carnot cycle is the most efficient possible heat engine operating between two temperatures. Efficiency η = 1 − Tcold/Thot. It consists of two isothermal and two adiabatic processes. No real engine can exceed Carnot efficiency (2nd Law of Thermodynamics).
